Coral To Raise More For Jessie May

Scottish Open title sponsor Coral will once again be raising money for World Snooker’s official charity Jessie May Children’s Hospice At Home during this week’s tournament in Glasgow.

Coral will donate £50 for every century break made during the seven days of the tournament, just as they did at the English Open and Northern Ireland Open. Both of those events saw 63 centuries made, meaning a total of £6,300 raised so far for Jessie May.

The Coral Scottish Open runs until Sunday at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, with 128 of the world’s best players competing for the title.

Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home, based in Bristol, has become World Snooker’s official charity partner for the 2016/17 season. Jessie May provides a hospice at home service for terminally ill children, offering care to families in the Bristol area.

Simon Clare, Coral PR Director, said: “Once again we are delighted to support this fantastic charity and to generate an extra element of interest at this week’s Coral Scottish Open. It’s an extremely strong field in Glasgow and we’re keen to see the 63 centuries made in Manchester and Belfast surpassed. Best of luck to all the players.”
