NRFF STAGE FIRST WORLD RUGBY CERTIFIED REFEREE TRAINING COURSE (L1) IN LAGOS TODAY

The NRFF under the leadership of Sir Edward Fom Pam, will stage the first ever certified referee training course in Nigeria, at the completion of the course, participants will be issued a World Rugby Referee Level 1 certificates. The two day programme which will be facilitated by World Rugby Licensed Educator ‘Marcelo Blanco’ will focus on the rudiments of the game and its laws, also, game simulation and law application.

The course which will accommodate 15 participants from all regions in Nigeria will buttress the federations quest to develop the sports in Nigeria.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Rugby Referee Association, Mohamed Salisu said: “I think the course is a good development by the federation as it will help develop the standard of our referees and also help certify them, we have been waiting for this in a while and thank God it came at the right time”.

The course is scheduled to hold today Saturday 25th and tomorrow Sunday 26th of June at the Lagos SWAN secretariat inside the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos. The course will run from 9am to 7pm on both days.
