Mozambique men and Women Beach Volleyball teams led their corresponding pools at the Men’s and Women’s CAVB U21 Beach Cup which held at the 6 October Club in Cairo, Egypt.
In Men’s competition Mozambique won 2 matches against RD Congo 2-1 and Togo 2-0 to lead Pool B ahead of Congo and Togo as both won a match against one defeat and then Sudan came with 0-2 record.
Nigeria led Pool A with 2 wins against Morocco 2-0 and South Africa 2-0, followed by Egypt and Morocco with 1-1 and then South Africa 0-2.
In the women’s tournament, Mozambique claimed two victories against Sudan 2-0 and South Africa 2-0 in Pool B, followed by Togo and South Africa 1-1 and then Sudan 0-2.
Pool A featured a draw for all four teams as all of them had 1-1 win-loss ratio record.
The top two teams in each category will qualify to the semifinal of the competition.
