Rwanda Complete Semifinal Line Up At 2018 Men’s U21 African Nations Volleyball Championship

The regular dark horses Rwanda completed the semifinal line up at the 2018 Men’s U21 African Nations Championship following their exciting victory over Cameroon 3-2 (25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 22-25, 15-12) on day 3 of competition held in Abuja, Nigeria on Friday to join the already qualified Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco.

Rwanda improved their win loss ratio to 2-1 at the end of the preliminary round to finish in the second place of Pool A. Tunisia led the pool with a third victory over Nigeria 3-0 (25-17, 32-30, 25-16) to finish with a perfect 3-0 record.

In Pool B Egypt led after a third victory over Morocco 3-1 (25-13, 18-25, 25-20, 25-14), but the losers qualify to the semifinal as second of the pool. RDC upset Chad 3-1 (25-23, 13-25, 25-21, 25-14) in the last match of the first round.

Tunisia face Morocco on Sunday in the first semifinal, Rwanda line up against Egypt in the second semis.
