Morocco’s Men and Rwanda’s Women Team’s Crowned African Beach Volleyball Cup Champions

Morocco and Rwanda captured the gold medals of Men’s and Women’s CAVB Beach Nations Cup held in Maputo, Mozambique after both teams won their corresponding final matches.

Morocco Men’s beat South Africa 2-0 (21-14, 21-19) in the Men’s final after a thrilling game to claim the gold medal.

The Rwandan women’s team upset Morocco 2-1 (15-21, 21-16, 15-13) in the women’s final after a very exciting games extending to the tiebreak.

The top 4 Men teams Morocco, South Africa, Mozambique and Sierra Leone have now booked their tickets to the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship.

On the women’s side Rwanda, Morocco, Kenya and Mozambique have also confirmed their qualification for the world Championships.

In the Men’s bronze medal match hosts Mozambique beat Sierra Leone 2-1 (22-24, 21-18, 15-12) in the competition’s, most thrilling encounter.

In the Women’s bronze medal match Kenya overpowered Mozambique 2-0 (21-11, 22-20) too finish third.
