The Nigerian National League, Thursday in Lagos unveiled top sports betting company, Bet9ja, as its title sponsor in a two year deal worth two hundred million naira.
At the well attended event which held at Protea Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, had top dignitaries from the football community including Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, NFF 1st Vice President, Hon. Chidi Ofo Okenwa, Chairman, NNL, Ayo Ojuroye, MD /CEO, Bet9ja, Victor Agali, Victor Ikpeba, Abdul Sule, Hon. Ayodeji Joseph, Hon. Bukola Olapade, as well as, top media personalities in attendance.
Hon. Okenwa expressed his delight with the signing of the sponsorship MOU, which he described as a landmark achievement for the second tier league.
Barrister Akinwunmi, who was obviously happy with the new deal, also commended the efforts of the board of the NNL in securing the sponsorship deal. As he added that the NFF would continue to support efforts of the league board to develop and improve the fortunes of Nigerian football.
Hon. Olapade, who was expectedly delighted over the deal, enthused that the new deal would help to break a new dawn for Nigerian football. While adding that prospective sponsors have started to knock on the doors of the league board with bids to come on board.
