Ikorodu United striker, Jude Aneke had told the Papilo FC goalkeeper before the game that he would score against him in their Nigeria National League (NNL) Southern Conference Matchday 11 tie at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.
And true to his words it was Aneke’s lone strike for the Oga Boys in the 55th minute that sealed the deal for the Oga Boys as they claimed the maximum 3points on offer.
Aneke had his earlier effort ruled as offside at the half hour mark.
Speaking with IUFC Media after the match said Jude Aneke Said: “I told the goalkeeper I will score against him before the match started and I scored “It was a great feeling for me and the team. As a team, we have no option than to win so our fans can smile.”
His goal against Papilo FC brings his goals tally to 6 thereby making the Top Scorer for his NNL Side this term.
Meanwhile The Oga Boys will on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere host rivals, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM FC) of Lagos in Lagos State FA Cup Round 8 (quarter-final) match.
