Tunisian clubs start victorious at Men’s African Club Championship opening

Tunisian teams started victorious in the 2017 Men’s African Club Championship opening as hosts Esperance beat Ahly Beni Ghazi of Libya 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-18) in Pool A, while Etoile du Sahel played consistently to trounce Kenya Prisons 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-17) in Pool D.

In the Big show of the day Assarya of Libya fought for 150 minutes to clinch a thrilling victory over University of Rwanda in a tight tiebreaker 3-2 (25-20, 24-26, 26-28, 25-14, 17-15) in Pool C.

Algeria’s Borj Bouaririj started their campaign in the best way as they beat AS Douanes of Burkina Faso 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-17) in the same pool.

Kenya prisons with CAVB President

FAP of Cameroon stared aggressively to overcome Alnahda of Sudan in 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 26-24)in Pool B.
