Egypt easily won the first and second sets, but the Tunisian team fought aggressively in the third set using their solid blocks and the disturbance in the Egyptian defence to narrow the score to 1-2. Eventually the Egyptian team used the quick attacks through Mariam Metwally in the fourth set to win the match and capture the gold medals.
